I am discerning and particular. My mom says I am a curator! I’ll take it. I like using things that are my favorite things, chosen from the wide sea of mediocre things. Being an editor of all things out there is both fun and exhausting! I love reading reviews, product testing, deciding the verdict, and telling people about it. Recommending is my love language. Sometimes my advice is unsolicited, and I’m not sorry. I like products that are useful, smart, beautiful, or all three.
I love Calico Critters, the Japanese Sylvanian Families toys from 1985. Here I am happy as a clam in FAO Schwarz. I dream of going to Japan one day for the product sourcing alone.
To get a sense of how I am as a parent, this second photo is the line up of sippy cups I tried when my first child moved from a bottle to a cup. The silicone short cup three in from the right was the ultimate winner. No, I did not make a spreadsheet, but I would have loved one.
