Glossier Generation G lipstick

why it’s worth the money

Glossier came out in 2014, and I was really interested in it as a founder-led launch from Emily Weiss, who had written the Into the Gloss blog.

I really loved the Generation G sheer matte lipstick when it launched in early 2016, and I’ve been using it ever since. It used to come in slim white tubes, which were prone to cracking, so they changed them to be thicker. I still miss the slim white tube. I had at least three or four shades, like Crush, Jam, Zip, and Like. I tried them all.

In November 2018 they launched an upgraded version, and I have at least four or five on hand. I love this lipstick. It’s really buildable, and I’ve never found anything else that matches it.

One extra: I stick a Dazzle Dot on top of each lipstick. It’s a little adhesive mirror for the cap. They’re really affordable, and you can buy them brand new on eBay.
